The Dundee Baby, San Tropat and the provisional Dundee Model Citizen are the same person at three points in one unusually persistent career.
Original assignment
The Dundee Baby
Around sixty years ago, an American baby appeared on products carrying the Dundee name. Examples still surface for sale.
The surviving package identifies Dundee Mills, Inc. and the Baby Products Division in New York. The project will publish the strongest documented provenance available while avoiding claims that the surviving material cannot yet prove.
The package also contains the phrase “Slightly Irregular”. That phrase now belongs to the fictional bureaucracy around the project—not as a label placed on workers, older people or anyone who uses the future product.

Why this exists
Frivolity with an employment test underneath
Project Dry Run uses performance, photography and public participation to discover whether a credible Dundee-centred product and local value chain can be built.
Early roles can include location assistants, portrait-day stewards, archive cataloguers, production runners, packing and fulfilment trainees, community-research assistants and accessibility testers. If the technical product progresses, experienced specialists must handle its safety, testing and regulatory obligations.
The wearer is never the joke.
The comedy belongs to the bureaucracy, the inflated titles and the provisional Model Citizen himself.
Dignity, informed consent, proper pay and honest evidence are operational requirements.
